Central Piedmont Group of Sierra Club presents Mike Dorcas, Nancy and Erwin Maddrey Professor in the Department of Biology at Davidson College to speak about the Burmese Python and invasive species. The Burmese python is native to southern Asia and is one of the largest snakes in the world. Burmese pythons are now established firmly as an invasive species over a large portion of southern Florida. The evening begins with pizza at 6:30 and the program starts at 7.
