The 6th Annual Charlotte Jewish Film Festival, which features week-long screenings of a variety of Jewish films from around the world, kicks off on March 4 with A Matter of Size (Sipur Gadol). In the film, four overweight guys abandon their weight-loss group, not for burgers and fries, but so that they can start a sumo wrestling club in Israel. Sounds like funny stuff to me. Other flicks on this year's roster include Noodle, The First Basket, Holy Land Hardball, Arranged, His People, For My Father (Sof Shavua B'Tel Aviv), The Debt, Inside Hana's Suitcase and Spielzeugland. For more information on the festival and films being shown, as well as times, locations, tickets and more, visit www.charlottejewishfilm.org.
