The Main Library's Alfred Hitchcock summer film series was a big hit, which is why a second, fall series, dubbed "The Master of Suspense: Alfred Hitchcock Classics" is happening now in Wachovia Playhouse at ImaginOn on Monday nights. The series kicked off with 1946's Notorious and it continues this week with a screening of 1945 psychological thriller, Spellbound. In the film, set in a mental asylum, actress Ingrid Bergman is cast as a psychoanalyst looked down upon by her co-workers, while actor Leo G. Carroll plays a hospital director forced into early retirement and replaced by a rather peculiar doctor, played by actor Gregory Peck. An adaptation of the novel, The House of Dr. Edwards, this flick's twists might leave one feeling a little crazy, too. Free. 7 p.m. ImaginOn, 300 E. 7th St. 704-416-0252.
