You can never have too much of a good thing, which is why the Main Library has elected to follow its successful Alfred Hitchcock summer film series with an Alfred Hitchcock fall film series. "The Master of Suspense: Alfred Hitchcock Classics" will commence its second tour of duty at 7 p.m. tonight in the Wachovia Playhouse at ImaginOn. On the bill will be 1946's Notorious, which for my money ranks second only to Psycho as Hitchcock's greatest movie. Ingrid Bergman (in her best performance) is cast as a "tainted" woman who aids an American government agent (a superb Cary Grant) by infiltrating a Nazi spy ring and wooing its most vulnerable member (supporting actor extraordinaire Claude Rains). Upcoming titles in the Monday night series include Spellbound, Shadow of a Doubt and, yes, Psycho. Free. 7 p.m. ImaginOn, 300 E. 7th St. 704-416-0252.
