The Mexican tradition of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) isn't a downer like you might think. The holiday honors the deceased with festivities of remembrance and a celebration of the continuity of life. On Oct. 31, Levine Museum of the New South in partnership with the Latin American Coalition presents its Day of the Dead: Festival of Souls. The event features traditional cuisine, music and dance performances, altars and arts and crafts.
