In conjunction with the "Pioneering Women of Cleveland County" exhibit (February 7 – May 23), Kings Mountain Historical Museum will host a Lecture Series focusing on local women’s history. In celebration of National Women’s History Month, the second program in the series will reflect on some of the many notable North Carolina women who have made their mark on history, including a child bride, a Confederate soldier, a pirate, and a pioneering parachutist. This project is made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
