AFRO-AMERICAN CULTURAL CENTER OF CHARLOTTE Shotgun House. Deeded to the Afro-American Cultural Center in 1986, the shotgun houses, built during the late 1890s, were originally located in the former Third Ward neighborhood called "Blandville."
