Scorpio’s upcoming Dragging With the Stars takes the concept of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars series and outshines it with glitter, glam and men in heels. The event, kicking off on Jan. 8, pairs five Q.C. drag queens (Cierra Nichole, Jessica Raynes, Buff Faye, Felicia Monet and Angela Lopez) with five men from local charities (Charlotte Pride, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Don’t H8, Campus Pride and Charlotte Royals Rugby Football Club). It’ll be interesting as the latter gets a quick lesson in drag 101. MC Tiffany Storm hosts the competition, with a panel of judges and audience support to determine who’s best in each round. The five nights of competition culminates with one pair receiving $1,000 for their charity. (Anita Overcash)
