First, a sprightly Midsummer Night's Dream on The Green, and then an equally satisfying Bad Dates at a Dilworth condo. Now Collaborative Arts is straying beyond their comedy comfort zone with their first suspense drama, Steven Dietz's FICTION. Two happily married writers make the mistake of getting a wee bit too curious about the secrets that lurk in each other's diaries -- resulting in a predictable victory of substance over style. Sheila Snow Proctor and Joe Copley star as the married couple with Elise Wilkinson on the periphery. At Duke Power Theatre, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., in Spirit Square through March 24. One Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. on March 24, and a "pay-what-you-will" performance on Wednesday, March 21. Tickets are $20 on Fridays and Saturdays ($17 students/seniors), $15 Thursdays or Sunday ($12 students/seniors). Call 704-372-1000.
