When: Fri., Dec. 11, 12-1 p.m. 2020
Camryn Brown and Emily Geraghty, Seniors at the South Carolina Governor’s School, discuss their archaeological research during a pandemic, which focused their work on compiling a database of objects and burials found in various Native sites, including the Carolinas. The program features perspectives on the use and distribution of shell beads and commingled burials. This data can deepen our understanding of Native cultural practices and connections. To register for the program, send your email to [email protected] and the Native American Studies Center will respond with the meeting ID and password required to join the program.
