Davis will talk about her book and present an evocative personal story that seeks to understand and explain the process of communicating with the dying and their families. She threads the personal story of her father’s death with her ethnography of a hospice organization, exploring how communication can reinforce the humanity, life and sanctity of relationships. Doors open: 6:15 pm, lecture: 6:30 pm, reception and book signing will follow.
