Professor of History at Penn State University Garret Fagan will discuss "How to Stage a Roman Bloodbath: Theatricality and Artificiality in the Roman Arena." In conjunction with the lecture, Vail Commons will host a dinner featuring meals based on the Roman cookbook written by Apicius in the 4th or 5th century A.D.
