Chris Abani at Sensoria

When: Wed., April 15, 7 p.m. 2015

In a 2007 TED talk, writer/lecturer Chris Abani spoke on the importance of narrative in culture: “What we know about who we are comes from stories.” In a society that thrives on 140-character statuses, this poet/fiction writer’s message is profound. Abani’s a featured speaker at CPCC’s weeklong celebration of the arts, Sensoria, which will include opera and theater performances, lectures, exhibits and other discussions. Sensoria runs April 10-18. For more information, visit www.sensoria.cpcc.edu. (Kimberly Lawson)
