The Charlotte Pride Band closes its fifth season with “A Pops Matinee.” The concert is set for 5 pm on Saturday, May 21 in Heaton Hall of Myers Park Baptist Church, 1900 Queens Road in Charlotte. The program features the music of stage and screen. CPB performs selections representing stories and characters that Hollywood keeps bringing back. Featured pieces include music from Doctor Who, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof, the Muppet Show and, of course, James Bond. Tickets are $13 or $10 from a member of the band.
