Charlotte African-American Festival

When: March 31-April 3 2016

This four-day festival celebrates African-Americans and the community at large. The festival includes live music, dance, art, food, a pageant, speakers, vendors, awards and more. Be sure to catch performances that recall the Underground Railroad through a Harriet Tubman impersonator and the Black History Walk of Fame, which gives a shout out to famous African Americans from history.
