Cathinka Chandler

Creator of Kush

Is your bosom in need of extra support while you sleep? Well, Cathinka Chandler's "bedtime cleavage cushion," Kush, could be the answer to your boob-centric prayers.

"Two years ago, I recognized a need that women who sleep on their sides have for breast support, both for comfort and reduction of creases and wrinkles in the cleavage area that side sleeping can produce," she says. Kush, which she says encourages proper spine alignment and post-operative recovery, will become available in the United States in January.

Kush received an enthusiastic response at the Lingerie Americas Trade show in New York in August and will debut in the European markets later this month. The Home Shopping Network has also expressed interest in distributing Chandler's product.

In addition to managing her husband's law firm, Chandler satisfies her interests in interior design by selling furniture and accessories out of the firm's office.

She spent years on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra. "My husband and I are always looking for ways to give back and stay busy." She and her husband are involved with supporting the Whitewater Park and donate a portion of the profits from Kush to Breast Cancer awareness.

Chandler and her husband also support Hope Stout Society projects. Hope was a 12-year-old girl who lost her life to a rare form of bone cancer in 2004. When Chandler found out Stout was sick, she became determined to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. "Hope and her family are truly an inspiration," she says.

Despite Kush's unconventional nature, Cathinka says she has received nothing but positive and enthusiastic responses to her product; she is grateful for the smooth sail Kush has been on and is excited to make a difference in women's cleavage everywhere.
