CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Camino is excited to announce the unveiling of a brand new mini pitch soccer field on their campus. This field is possible through Charlotte FC and their founding partner Ally, as part of the Club’s Pitches for Progress initiative that is installing 22 brand-new pitches across Charlotte and the Carolinas. The Charlotte-based football club’s program goes beyond simply providing the community with a place to play soccer, it also offers a complementary character-based mentoring curriculum.

“Pitches for Progress” goes hand-in-hand with Camino’s mission of equipping people to live healthy, hopeful, and productive lives. The new field is a place for kids of all ages, backgrounds, and races to play soccer while also connecting them to Camino’s other youth programs.

Camino has uniquely positioned itself as a trusted place in the Latino Community by being a truly bilingual organization. 98% of the patients at Camino are native Spanish speakers, and they mainly suffer from ailments such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Camino’s health and wellness program, Camino Vida, will use this new area as an outdoor fitness space for their patients to offer them the best care possible in the language they prefer.

Guests attending this ceremony include a range of city leaders such as: Charlotte FC Owners David & Nicole Tepper, Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber, and Ally Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer Andrea Brimmer.
