A couple of lessons that high-flying bachelor Bernard has mastered while juggling no less than three stewardess fiancées: 1) Keep your scheduling precise and 2) Keep your lies straight. But in Marc Camoletti’s farce, Boeing Boeing, an equal number of complications threaten Bernard’s bliss. The advent of a newer, speedier aircraft throws off his scheduling — and the arrival of his shyer, less glib friend Robert throws a monkey wrench into Bernard’s intricately calibrated and customized lies. Winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival, more than 40 years after Boeing Boeing was adapted for Hollywood, this Charlotte premiere at CAST is long overdue, opening Jan. 16 and breaking the sound barrier through Feb. 8. Directed by Tony Wright, the frenetic physical action takes flight with Polly Adkins, Joe Rux, Emmanuel Barbe, Mandy Kendall, Katie Bearden, and Karina Roberts-Caporino. (Perry Tannenbaum)
