Show Off: A 41-year-old man in east Charlotte had an interesting commute to work last week, as the man driving in front of him was all too happy to show off his 2nd Amendment rights. The victim told officers that he was driving behind a man when the man suddenly hopped out of his vehicle and started waving a pistol at the victim. The suspect did it again a little further down the road, as if to say, "Why did you not pass me the first time I showed signs of being psychotic?"

Meant To Be: Officers filed a police report after finding a 42-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man together in a residence. The presumed lovers were arrested because both had a restraining order out against the other. According to police, "each subject being in the other's presence was a violation of the order."

Blasphemy: A west Charlotte man foolishly tried to keep his name off the record books by instead using a famous one — a really famous one. Police pulled over a man last week and found marijuana and prescription pills on the driver. While searching the vehicle, they found a revolver under the passenger seat. The passenger was a convicted felon, so instead of telling officers his real name, he told them his name was Allah.

'Stache attack: A man called police last week when his 11-year-old stepson came home from school looking like he had aged five years in a day. The kid told his stepfather that a bully at school had held him down and drew a mustache on his upper lip with a marker during P.E. class.

Dirty Job: A 35-year-old housekeeper called police last week after her employer treated her like trash. The victim told officers she showed up at an apartment that she was hired to clean, but the woman in the apartment immediately started an argument with her. During the argument, the suspect allegedly threw a vacuum cleaner and a bucket at the housekeeper.

Selfie: An employee at a local catering company filed a police report last week after unknowingly catching an identify thief in the act. The witness told officers that he saw the suspect going through a pile of receipts and snapping pictures with his phone, later realizing he was actually taking pictures of credit card information.

Set an Example: Police responded to a domestic disturbance that involved three generations on Sharon Road last week. When officers arrived, they found two women who had obviously been in a physical fight. A witness told police that one was the mother of the other, and she began the fight over her daughter's way of disciplining her own child. In other words, the woman did not like how her daughter was beating up her own daughter so she proceeded to beat up the daughter that was doing the beating. I give up.
