Game of Homes: A 57-year-old woman filed a police report after waking up one morning to find an arrow sticking straight out of the roof of her home.

Popped-Sicle: A 51-year-old ice cream truck driver called police after being robbed last week. The man told officers that two unknown suspects punched him in the face through the truck's window, which they broke, and made off with two popsicles.

Not Your Beeswax: A local nonprofit focused on urban farming turned to police last week after someone braved the stingers of hundreds of bees for a bit of honeycomb. The business reported two beehives full of bees had been taken from the backyard of a house where the honey was being farmed. Side note: This is at least the second reported incident this year in Charlotte involving stolen beehives.

Moving Day: Police responded to a skirmish between college-age kids in the University area after they couldn't agree on who owned what when it came time to part ways. The tenants told police they were all moving out of an apartment when arguments began to erupt over furniture. All of them were claiming that someone else had stolen their belongings, including flat-screen TVs, laptops and an Xbox. Before they knew it, the entire group was fighting inside the apartment and ended up causing $350 in damage to the interior before the fight was broken up.

Pinky: A 21-year-old woman called police after being threatened in a University-area parking lot. The woman told officers that the suspect walked up to her at a Kangaroo Express and waved a handgun at her, asking if it threatened her. Well, it did, and police responded to the scene and took a silver and pink revolver from the suspect before making the arrest.

That blows: When it comes to nabbing landscaping supplies, thieves have gotten bold in north Charlotte. A 41-year-old man told officers he was sitting at a stoplight on Old Statesville Road when an unknown suspect grabbed a leaf blower from the bed of his pickup truck and quickly fled the scene on foot.
