Wrong Turn: Responding officers stopped people walking down the street in the Plaza Midwood area carrying street signs. Is that how the intersection of Queens and Queens happened?
Sticky Fingers: Someone walked into a northwest Charlotte Walmart and shoplifted 50 bags of candy from the store. Um, Halloween was four months ago ...
A Friend Of The Person Above?: Someone walked into an Uptown gas station and stole two boxes of Butterfingers — 48 candy bars total. I guess they were trying the five (Butter)finger discount.
Mrs. Rousey, Is That You?: A 43-year-old northeast Charlotte woman called police after she was told a third party had a message for her of, "I'll get my daughter to beat your ass."
You're Doing It Wrong: Police arrested a known Plaza Midwood-area suspect on drug possession charges. In addition to marijuana, the person was in possession of $260 and a snort straw. A snort straw? Probably should have used that $260 on some rolling papers.
Was She At The Wrong Store?: A 24-year-old east Charlotte woman called police to report her purse missing. She had left her $500 Coach purse in the parking lot of an area Walmart. Aside from her wallet, her driver's license and some banking cards, the purse also contained 60 bars of Xanax. I guess saving money at Walmart helped her afford that purse.
They Stole What?!?: A 37-year-old northeast Charlotte woman phoned police after she noticed a few items missing from her home. It appears someone had stolen a $500 leather bomber jacket and a $300 urn ... containing ashes. Who the hell takes a deceased loved one?
How'd That Get There?: A male phoned police to report that he found an unknown person's debit card inside of his car, which was parked on the CPCC campus.
Blotter items are chosen from the files of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
