In the Beastie Boys’ 1992 punk slammer “The Biz vs. the Nuge,” (good) crazy-ass rapper Biz Markie imagines the Beasties coming back from space over a sampled guitar line by (bad) crazy-ass rocker Ted Nugent. It was the one sliver of a moment that almost redeemed America’s favorite gun-toting racist redneck. But the Biz’s Beasties collab is not the only reason to go see him. There’s also his own hilariously endearing “Just a Friend” and “Vapors.”
