Horse Thief made an immediate impact during the Alejandro Escovedo Benefit at the Double Door in February, the last to play but the first from among a dozen or so acts to be entirely twang free. Drummer Scott Wishart hits the skins at warp speed while roaring out the lyrics -- not that you could hear 'em over the din created by the rest of the band.
