The Fantasticks CPCC Theatre kicks off its 2002-03 season with a return of the first musical ever presented on the Pease Auditorium stage in 1969. The Fantasticks is that kind of nostalgic piece that takes everyone back to that giddy moment of first love. * Bent This play by Martin Sherman was the first piece of dramatic literature to address the issues of the treatment of homosexuals in Nazi Germany and their persecution in the Holocaust. Coffee of the Gods and Changeover Interview Two brand-new short one-act plays by Stan Peal, will premiere at Off-Tryon's NoDa New Play Festival. Coffee of the Gods, a satire about the robust and flavorful deity, and Changeover Interview, a drama about two mysterious women. The shows will be performed together on the festival's Short Play Slam nights. Sept. 23, 8 p.m. $10, individual show. $15, a pass for all festival performances.
