The exhibition Quiet Spirit, Skillful Hand: The Graphic Work of Clare Leighton will feature more than 180 pieces by Clare Leighton. These consist of engravings, drawings and watercolors created from 1923-1965. The British-born artist has numerous stunning works that capture the working class, landscapes and more. Leighton lived in Chapel Hill, N.C. from 1943-1945 and taught at Duke University. Her work reflects scenes from both England and America. May 17-Sept. 14.
