Entrepreneur Angela Oberer likes to keep life interesting. She has done everything from delivering pizzas to running the Boston Marathon and traveling the world. It's no surprise that when she was introduced to acting three years ago, she jumped in with both feet and hasn't been able to get enough of it since.
Oberer is the fourth of 19 children. As a youngster, she thought of it as normal. "I'm from a farming community in Utah, so all of our neighbors had 12-15 kids."
Though her plate is pretty full, she takes care to make room for her hobbies. Oberer is a marathon runner and triathlete. She claims that sports is "the best drug out there." She also loves to write: "It's very therapeutic to be able to create new ideas."
Oberer stumbled into acting in 2005 while doing research and has since acted in 13 independent films and two TV pilots. She has also done several commercials and voiceover work. "I never saw it coming," she says. "I had no experience but I really enjoyed the huge arena of people who are always progressing and trying to better themselves." Oberer follows her motto: "Start where you are with the resources you have and go from there."
She has traveled around the globe training commissioned salespeople in her specialized program "Words of Wellness," a 12-step program that teaches individuals to maintain balance in their lives. "Words of Wellness" went on to become a radio show and news column.
