It’s only fitting that a band from Sweden would sing about Vikings. Melodic death metal band Amon Amarth figured the Viking theme could help set them apart on the metal scene, so why not run with it? The band’s ninth studio album, last year’s Deceiver of the Gods, follows the band’s typical raw and brutal musical pathways and growled vocals set forth on previous releases. Horned helmets optional.
