The set-up of this botched-caper comedy hits all the indie-movie tropes: Two lovable losers plan an inept robbery of a suburban mansion, and everything goes rapidly and predictably to shit. (The protagonists in this buddy flick even plan their heist in a diner, with a knowing nod to Pulp Fiction.) Once the thieves encounter an unexpected house sitter (the sharp and sassy Eleanore Pienta) the movie clicks on all cylinders. It gets smarter, funnier and ultimately quite touching.
