The Davidson College Theater Department will open their second play of the season, Boy Gets Girl, starting tonight in the Black Box Performance Space of the Cunningham Fine Arts Building on the campus of Davidson College. Winthrop University will host its Fall One-Act Play Festival, starting tonight and running through Monday, in the Studio Theatre of Johnson Hall on the campus of the University. The Sanders Family Christmas, a sequel to Smoke on the Mountain, will be performed tonight and tomorrow and December 7-8 at 7:30pm at Saluda Trail Middle School in Rock Hill. The production is particularly poignant being set in the weeks following the Pearl Harbor bombing -- and dealing with the situations and emotions that have become all to a familiar following the tragedy of September 11. The Olympic Torch Relay will pass through Charlotte today, as part of the only North Carolina stop planned on the journey.
