When: Sat., June 2, 12 p.m. 2012
When 1960s British youth subcultures the mods and the rockers clashed, there was more than just the revving of engines at stakes. Angry and willing to do damage to what they saw as a threat to their coolness, the leather-clad rockers who sported motorcycles just couldn't seem to find common ground with the clean-cut mods strapped to scooters. Of course, the fact they traveled on two-wheels just wasn't good enough. The Chop Shop's 2012 Mods vs. Rockers Charlotte breaks the divide as both vintage motorcycles and scooters are welcome on the same floor. Bike shows are on the agenda in addition to raffles, live music and motorcycles/apparel from various vendors. All proceeds will benefit Classroom Central. Bike show starts at 12 p.m.; entertainment at 7 p.m.
