TSA to fire worker who left a note about a vibrator

A Transportation Security Administration worker probably thought it was a joke when he or she wrote the words, "Get your freak on, girl" and left it in the bag of a passenger traveling through Newark Airport. Big problems.

1. The passenger was a lawyer and a feminist blogger named Jill Filipovic.
2. Filpovic has a Twitter account and a camera (or a smart phone), and took a picture for the world to see.
3. It was a total invasion of privacy.

That worker now has been fired.

The Transportation Security Administration says it will fire a New Jersey baggage screener who left a note that said "Get your freak on girl" in a suitcase containing a sex toy.

TSA spokeswoman Kawika Riley said Friday that the agency personally apologized to the passenger. She says the handwritten note was "highly inappropriate."

It's bad enough that TSA does pat-downs and full body scans, but this is way out of pocket.

The bigger question is, will TSA give Filipovic a gift certificate to North Carolina's Adam & Eve so that she can replace her vibrator?
