After Charlotte native Emily Maynard’s victory in scoring the heart of Brad Womack on ABC’s popular show The Bachelor earlier this year (although US Weekly reports they've recently split), the reality sweetheart craze is coming to Charlotte to see if any other N.C. natives are up for the challenge of winning some handsome guy's heart — for at least the season.
The search for prospective bachelorettes for the next season of The Bachelor will begin on Thursday, June 16 when casting producers will appear at Alive After Five, scouting out the crowd for cuties.
Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. and on-camera interviews for the show will run through 10 p.m. at Suite.
Do you think you could win the rose of some lucky (or unlucky) guy? If so, you'll definitely want to start planning your outfit now. We'd recommend also wearing a snazzy pair of heels.
For those who haven’t followed The “Bachelor scene since its debut in 2002, the plot is simple (kind of). One lucky gentleman is introduced to 25 beautiful ladies who must compete for his affections during group and one-on-one dates. Each episode ends with a rose ceremony where the girls who have succeeded thus far are given roses and are allowed to stay for another day, while the girls who do not receive a rose are sent packing. More information about The Bachelor is available at ABC.com.
