Lunchbox Records has announced the details of its Record Store Day plans. Taking place on April 16, 2011 — that's this Saturday — the store plans to open at 10 a.m.

According to their site, they're the only shop in Charlotte taking part, so it's gonna be a lot of items that are first-come, first-serve obviously.

They'll have a bag of goodies to hand out until they run out — free 7" albums, CDs, stickers, shirts, etc. They'll be limiting the number of people that can cram into the store at once, so please be patient if there's a line. It'll be worth the wait — they're having a drawing for a $50 gift certificate.

They're also going to have performances by Sled at 6:30 p.m. and Secret Hospital at 7:30 p.m.

Then there will be plenty of albums that are on sale — especially since the store is selling everything for 15% off and all used items are buy two, get one free.

Record Store Day items are one per customer... Among those are releases by Bad Brains, Circa Survive, The Decemberists, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Phish, Pink Floyd, Vivian Girls and more. You can find the entire list here.

Get out this weekend and support your local independent record store. Find out why Lunchbox Records has won the "Best Place to Buy CDs" title in our Best of Charlotte edition so many times.
