Going out in Charlotte doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, to prove that statement, we've compiled a list of cheap - $10 or less - things to do in the Q.C. this weekend. These events may vary, but they're all entertaining and they won't break your bank (piggy banks excluded).

Silent Disco at Rooftop 210: Forget how you look to curious onlookers. At this nightlife event music is played through wireless headphones worn by those who are willing to dance, glow and support DJs Drex and Wiggz & Wonz - who will be battling it out for your listening ears. Free admission. Aug. 22, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Free admission. Rooftop 210 at EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St. www.rooftop210.com.

Anniversary Party at BlackFinn Ameripub: This EpiCentre hot spot celebrates its sixth anniversary with drink specials and giveaways. To RSVP, email scalderon@backfinncharlotte.com. Aug. 22, 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. BlackFinn Ameripub, 210 E. Trade St. www.blackfinnameripub.com.

Craft Chick Hustle Harder at Unknown Brewing Co.: This Unknown Brewing Co. event celebrates beer (duh!) and ladies (both in and out of the brewing biz). The event includes a women’s homebrew competition, food samples from Queen City Pantry, aerial performances, makeup and hair demos, music from Radio Lola, Charlotte Roller Girls’ relay race and more. It’s benefits the Pink Boots Society — an organization that helps guide women in the beer industry. $10. Unknown Brewing Co., 1327 S. Mint St. www.unknownbrewing.com.

5th Annual Clown Crawl in Plaza Midwood: This is not for folks whose psyches are plagued by clown fiends. But for folks who have no suppressed fears from films or wacky circus rendezvous, this event may well have you putting on a clown suit in support of a good cause. The annual clown crawl — organized by Martin Barry, aka Charlotte Roller Girls’ clown — benefits A Child’s Place, an organization that helps furnish school supplies for children in need. Must be 21+ and have a donation. Clown paint provided. Aug. 23, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Kicks off at Common Market, 2007 Commonwealth Ave.

Anniversary Party at Heist Brewery: The NoDa brewery and restaurant celebrates its two-year anniversary with live music from Josh Daniels & the Mark Schimick Project, new craft beer releases and more. Aug. 23, 3 p.m. Free admission. Heist Brewery, 2909 N. Davidson St. 704-375-8260. www.heistbrewery.com.
