GanttFest at Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture: The day-long celebration of art and culture of the Diaspora will feature guided tours of the museum's exhibits, workshops and activities for children, performances, and film screenings. Squirt: Permanent Vacation Day Party at Snug Harbor: This day party features live music from Iris Code, Civil Union, Rocca, and WYMYNS PRYSYN and DJs, including Brisket Boyz, Edward Shouse and STRTR. Ghostbusters at ImaginOn: The summer film series Made in 1984: Hollywood Movies from 30 Years Ago concludes with a screening of Ghostbusters, one of the biggest blockbusters of its decade. Bill Murray (in a terrific performance), Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis play the title trio, ridding the Big Apple of supernatural entities in humorous fashion. The amusing visual effects and Ray Parker Jr.’s catchy theme song both earned Oscar nominations. Free admission.
