The 2013 Hopscotch Music Festival released its lineup today and its easy to see it's shaping up to be the best yet. The Raleigh event will be headlined by Big Boi and Spiritualized, and other performers include The Breeders, Local Natives, John Cale and Sleep.
Held Sept. 5-7, the fourth annual Hopscotch festival, which was founded by Raleigh's Independent Weekly, will feature nearly 175 bands of all genres at 15 different venues. Big Boi will headline on Friday, Sept. 6, at Raleigh City Plaza with Future Islands and Gross Ghost opening. Spiritualized and The Breeders will headline the Plaza on Sept. 7 with The Lollipops opening.
Among the others announced are: Earl Sweatshirt, Low, Kurt Vile, Chatham County Line, Pere Ubu, American Aquarium, Mount Moriah, Kopecky Family Band, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Jeanne Jolly, Whatever Brains, Water Liars, Katherine Whalen and Charlotte bands OverMountain Men and Late Bloomer.
