Our president has managed to double the number of female Supreme Court justices to four. Four! Since 1790. Wowee! And, get this: One of them is Hispanic, divorced and childless, and the other is Jewish and chose not to marry nor have children.

Hard-working, minority career women makin' rules for our country. Hell yeah.

Her confirmation assured, Elena Kagan is on the brink of becoming the fourth woman ever to serve as a Supreme Court justice.

The Senate is set Thursday to confirm President Barack Obama's nominee, whose addition to the court will mark the first time three female justices have served concurrently. Nearly all Democrats, the Senate's two independents and a handful of Republicans are backing her.

The vote is to be one of the Senate's last actions before its members depart for a monthlong vacation.

Once Kagan dons her black robe, that'll make four appointees for Clinton and Obama — and most of them aren't all that liberal. So stop your yammerin', fools.

And if I hear any more rumors about Kagan being a lesbian, I'm going to puke. Get out of people's bees wax and focus on your own bedrooms, perverts.

Now, I present the highlights from Kagan's confirmation hearings — which are, as we all know, more about politicians getting their mug on camera than anything else. (The Senate didn't start holding them until 1916.)

And here are some highlights from another, slightly more famous, confirmation hearing:
