It's been nearly five years since The Forum opened its doors and began welcoming a variety of world-class DJs into the Queen City, but the owners have recently announced their intentions to close on June 19.
The area's first three-level nightclub was started by the creators of Cosmos Café and Mythos, and welcomed in artists such as Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk, DJ AM, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki and John Digweed. Common, Nelly, T-Pain, The Roots, Matt & Kim and MSTRKRFT have all held intimate live performances at the venue.
"We wish to thank everyone for an incredible run," managing partner Andy Kastanas, said in a press release. "While this may be the last hooray for the Forum, we are very excited about our plans for the property located on the 300 block of College Street where the venue is currently housed. We have always prided ourselves on staying ahead of the curve and offering innovative entertainment options -- our decision to close the Forum and forge ahead with a new concept is an extension of this philosophy."
On June 19, DJ Craze will guest DJ along with special guests in "one last dance" for the venue. The doors will open to the public at 10:30 p.m. and the party is expected to close after 3 a.m.
