Good sketch comedy can be hit or miss, even for the fine folks over at Saturday Night Live. A show that works — whether on TV for millions or in an intimate neighborhood setting for just a few friends — relies on a great troupe and damn good subject matter. Charlotte's The Dysfunctional Figurines has had its share of praise from local critics who've found its performances quite satisfactory in at least one critical way: they're funny. The troupe's latest show, "Fetch-A-Sketch," stars creator, writer and performer Tom Olson, along with longtime members James Walker II, Glynnis O'Donoghue, Gayle Taggart and newcomer Jennifer Jamsky. Together, the group members recall random topics — from healthy strippers to a super hero called "The Blackenator" — that amuse them (and hopefully, you too). As you'd expect from a dysfunctional bunch, the show is powdered with adult language and content.
