Wardrobe stylist Davita "Miss Swatty" Galloway doesn't wear heels anymore — or, at least, she hasn't in quite some time. After walking in heels all day on the campus of UNC Charlotte a few years ago, her feet were bleeding by the time she got home. She's been wearing flats ever since. Spotted in the atrium behind Amelie's French Bakery, Galloway says that style is "just an expression." The co-owner of DuppandSwat, a local styling, personal shopping and event planning company, continues: "I hate obeying rules, so I don't play by those fashion rules. I dress for me. Not to impress but to express. Life inspires me: the good and the bad, the gritty and the pretty."

Peep-Toe Ballerina Flats with Trouser Socks: "The shoes came from Nine West. I love wearing socks with shoes like this because it's different and unexpected."
