It’s time to Rock & Read! The 5th Annual Rock & Read 5k, benefiting The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, is returning to Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood on September 6, 2014. Organized by the Friends Council, a component of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation, the Rock & Read 5K offers live music at every mile and a festival atmosphere at the finish line. The event attracts all levels with a 5K run/walk, 1-mile fun run, and kids’ dash.The goal of the race is to increase awareness about the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and its affiliates while generating funds for programs and services.
