Piggies will be smokin' up the air and vendors galore will line the streets to sell their best barbecue creations, as Charlotte's Center City presents its 6th annual Blues, Brews & BBQ. This market offers more than organic fruits and vegetables, pastured pork, eggs from free-range chickens, fresh dairy products, baked goods, flowers, soaps, pottery, and baskets. It also offers a cooking demonstration by Chef Joseph Bonaparte of the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Charlotte on Sept. 13. He'll tell you about some recipes that you can use for fresh roasted peppers.
