Whether you're trying to brainstorm gift ideas or you simply are a hoarder of books about eating and drinking, I've got good news for you.

I've scoured Creative Loafing's shelves and found some books to give away.

Now I'm not saying this is the creme de la creme of reading — but hey, they're new and free.

Comment below your favorite restaurant in Charlotte and we'll pick a winner by the end of the day.

**Must be able to come by CL's offices at the N.C. Music Factory to pick up books between the hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Soul Gastrolounge when I want to splurge on a cocktail. Luna's Living Kitchen when I want raw, unadulterated brilliance.

I'm new to the area, but have been working my way through some great restaurants. Favorites so far are The Wooden Vine and 300 East. Moved here from Atlanta and agree with the previous comment...I love Woodfire and Flip!

Cabo Fish Taco is by far one of, if not THE best restaurant in Charlotte. They have such fantastic and diverse dishes. There is always a line for a reason! Delish!

Just had summer corn/mushroom risotto with shrimp at Terra and my life is forever changed. I don't even like shrimp! Risotto was more perfectly prepared than any I've had in Italy. Was worth the splurge

Tough to say...Fran's Filling Station for consistently good service and comfort foods are what I'm digging with this cold weather moving in!
