Best Radio Personality

Sarah Lee, 96.1 The Beat

Staff Pick

Sarah Lee may no longer be a regular voice on the “AM Mayhem” show on 96.1 The Beat, but she’s still our pick for Best Radio Personality. It’s not because she was the only woman on the morning show and had to put up with Brotha Fred and David L. for so long. It’s not because of her personable attitude and sweet voice. And it’s not because she’s the station’s new promotions director, host and producer of the “Hip Hop on High” show and runs four radio stations. Sarah Lee is our choice for best radio personality because after police officers Jeff Shelton and Sean Clark were killed, she was seen dressed up in a Easter bunny costume, duct-taped to a telephone pole to help raise money for their families.
