With his new PlayPlay venture, Mark Sutton merited serious Theaterperson consideration in 2010, but he was most dominant in the Actor of the Year arena, winning the award for the second time. I'd never found the relationship between Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver nearly so touching until Sutton strapped on the pegleg in Treasure Island, and his interpretation of Ebenezer was the difference-maker in the triumph of Scrooge! in the Best Musical race. Toss in a virtuoso trio of cameos in Goodnight Moon, and Sutton was supreme.
