Cleveland County Arts Council - General Charlotte Area
Triathlon begins at Shelby City Park, Shelby, NC. Outdoor 10 lane Olympic size overflow pool, where participants will snake down the pool swimming one direction in each lane. Transition area is located a mere 50 meters away on the front lawn of the Park, allowing excellent spectator vantage points. 20 kilometer bike course takes participants into uptown Shelby where they immediately turn out of town onto rolling hills. Participants will then circle back towards town. The 5K run is nearly completely flat, on some of the most scenic streets in Shelby. Event benefits the Arts Council. USA Triathlon sanctioned event.
